- Affected areas: May involve the face, chest and back.
- Post-breakout marks: Deeper blemishes may be more likely to leave visible marks.

Grade 4: Severe Nodulocystic Acne
- Common signs: Numerous, pronounced breakouts, including large, deep bumps beneath the skin.
- Visible redness: More extensive redness may be present, and affected areas may feel tender or uncomfortable.
- Breakouts: May include numerous deep, noticeable bumps that can be persistent.
- Affected areas: May be widespread across the face, chest, back and shoulders.
- Post-breakout marks: Deeper blemishes are more likely to leave noticeable, long-lasting marks.
